
WORKSHOPS
Bringing together the ancient science of yoga and the modern science of psychology for mental health
Dr Brooks facilitates regular half-day (3 hour) or full day (6 hour) workshops at A Breathing Space.
A wide variety of psychological topics or issues are covered, including depression, anxiety, stress, anger, insomnia, chronic pain, body-image and self-esteem. However, a diagnosis or clinical level of symptomatology is not required to participate in, or get benefits from one of the workshops at A Breathing Space.
All the workshops Dr Brooks' facilitates incorporate psychology, mindfulness, meditation and yoga. Both theory and experiential activities are included, so you can understand the why and the how, as well as practice. A manual to take home is also provided so you can continue what you have learnt.
Workshops are appropriate for anyone to attend, regardless of age, fitness or prior experience. All equipment is provided, but you are also welcome to bring your own if you prefer.
